BACKGROUND: In the BC/Yukon Region there are currently three awards presented: Executive of the year, Steward of the Year, and Steward of Distinction awards presented at the time as Steward of the Year.

BACKGROUND: There is a clear objective to recognize the outstanding contributions of a BC/Yukon PIPSC member active on an executive or in committee work of a constituent body for the Region.

The 75th British Columbia/Yukon Regional Council Meeting is scheduled on the afternoon of Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Burnaby Conference Centre, Burnaby, BC.

We are pleased to inform you that the BC/Yukon Advanced Training School will be offered on April 10 – 13, 2019 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Burnaby Conference Centre in Burnaby, BC.

As you know, British Columbia is holding a referendum to determine which electoral system should be used in its provincial elections – First Past the Post (FPTP), as is currently the case, or a form of Proportional Representation (PR).

Bulletin Board Contest! Let’s get our bulletin boards activated and let’s start engaging members!

We are pleased to advise that an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Training session is being offered on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in Vancouver, B.C. The OHS Training session will be one day, starting at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.  All participants are required to attend the full day.

On behalf of all PIPSC members, I’d like to express our support and encouragement to our fellow members and all of those currently affected by the ravages of the forest fires in British Columbia this summer.
