Dear Sisters and Brothers,

As some of you may know, our good friend Ernie McLean will be officially retiring from the Institute on January 2, 2021. As our Regional Representative and then Regional Manager, Ernie has been instrumental in leading many innovations and successes in the past number of years in the Region. His commitment to our members, the labour movement and our Region is second to none and he has set an incredible example for the rest of us to follow!

Unfortunately, we will be unable to meet in person this fall to thank Ernie. Our plans are to have Ernie return at some point in 2021 (when things get back to some level of normal), so we can celebrate his many years of service to our members in the Region.

At this time, we are encouraging stewards and activists in the BC/Yukon Region to post their comments, well wishes, pictures etc. here:

We will find an upcoming online event to virtually present the kudoboard to Ernie.

In order to post, you will need to create an account which will require an email and password, but nothing more. There is no cost to post anything to the board.

In Solidarity,

Robert K. MacDonald, B.A., MRM
Director, BC/Yukon Region, PIPSC
