A formal election complaint was filed, investigated and the election committee found that Mr. Peter Gabriel has committed two election offences.
Mr. Gabriel purposely campaigned to get elected CP Group President during an employer’s event conducted on the employer’s network.

The Commerce and Purchasing (CP) 2024 election results have been verified. 870 ballots were cast in the election, resulting in the following candidates being elected to the CP Group executive for a 3-year term of office effective on 1 June 2024 (*) and expiring 31 May 2027 :

Following the regular preparatory meeting on November 20, where analysis and strategy around remaining issues, including pay, were discussed, the Bargaining team met with the Employer, in Ottawa, for three days of negotiations November 21-23, 2023.

Both parties exchanged proposals on pay increases.
15 June 2023
Your Bargaining Team met in Ottawa on June 12-14, 2023. Although this session was to be a continuation of the bargaining with the Employer, it was postponed. The next session of negotiations with the Treasury Board is scheduled for September 19-21.

Your Bargaining Team met with Treasury Board representatives on April 25, 26, & 27, 2023 in Gatineau, Quebec. The Employer showed an openness to the issues the Group brought to the table, by asking clarifying questions to try and better understand our position.

As stated in an earlier posting the CP bargaining team should have been in negotiations the week of December 5 - to December 8. Due to a change in Negotiators from the Treasury Board, the negotiations have been postponed until January 30 to February 3, 2023.
