In the PSTAR Grievances, FPSLREB File Nos. 566.34.9832 & 9833 (Myles& Alcock), PIPSC recently finished its final arguments in support of our members. The Labour Board will now render its decision with written reasons in the coming months. When we have a decision we will notify the affected members and post an update on our website. We encourage you to visit in the coming weeks for updates on this matter.
Dear AFS members,
The AFS Bargaining Team shared our AFS specific pay proposals electronically with the Employer on January 26, 2019. We took this unusual step to give the Employer every opportunity to obtain a mandate and respond meaningfully when we meet on February 12 to 14.
We will make detailed presentations to explain the justifications for our pay demands during these same meetings.
For transparency, we will post all of our pay demands as part of bargaining update following our February bargaining session.
We are aware that many of you have recently received a response from the employer dismissing the grievances that were filed relating to your pension transfer from the Ontario Public Service. We had anticipated that the employer would conclude that the matter could not be grieved and, for that reason, we have also been pursuing class action proceedings before the Ontario Superior Court on this same issue. The parties have agreed to enter into mediation in those proceedings.
