Groups

Members belong to Groups, which include all the members of the same bargaining unit. Each Group operates under its own Constitution which must be consistent with Institute By-Laws. Members of the Group elect their own Executive.

As a member,your voice counts and you're encouraged to participate in the activities of your Group.

Your Bargaining Team met with the employer between February 21 and 23rd. The negotiation team was disappointed once again, as the employer has not yet presented an updated pay proposal from the woefully inadequate proposal presented last year.

Your Bargaining Team met with the Employer between February 7 and 9. The negotiation session was disappointing to say the least. After more than 25 days of negotiation over a 15 month period your Bargaining Team is frustrated with the employer's position and slow pace of negotiations.

After a long delay, the Employer has final received a clear mandate to negotiate from the Treasury Board. The parties will be back in bargaining on March 27 to 31. We remain hopeful that the parties will be able to reach a fair settlement.

The NUREG Bargaining Team met with CNSC Management January 23 and 24, 2017. The Team presented the pay proposal of 3% per year in each of 4 years, plus restructuring of the salary grid that would benefit ALL members. Your Bargaining Team also presented a proposal for a Compressed Work Week.
