The 76th British Columbia/Yukon Regional Council Meeting is scheduled on the afternoon of Friday, May 29th and Saturday, May 30th, 2020 at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown in Burnaby, BC.

Branch Presidents, please provide the name(s) of your delegate(s) and alternate(s) no later than Friday, April 3, 2020 to Patricia Fung at pfung@pipsc.ca . Delegates will be contacted with details for registration, travel and accommodations. Please note that full participation and attendance in the scheduled meetings is required or expenses may not be covered.
As approved at our 75th Regional Council, the Regional Executive will be selecting up to five (5) additional delegates who are young professionals and/or self-identify from the following employment equity seeking groups: women, LGBTQ2+, indigenous persons, persons with a disability; or visible minority. A region-wide call out will be distributed shortly. Branches are also encouraged to ensure increased representation of young professionals (those 40 and under) and diversity groups as part of their own delegate selection process.
Observers are welcome, but all associated expenses must be covered by the sponsoring Branch. To ensure sufficient space and seating, names of observers are required by Friday, April 3, 2020.
The meeting materials will be available for review in an online virtual binder. Notification will be sent to delegates when the binder is posted, anticipated in early May.
Draft Agenda
On Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Regional Executive will meet during the day.
On Friday, May 29, 2020, an optional Breakfast with Vice-President Hindle will be held from 7:30 am – 8:30 am for all Branch Presidents and Regional Executive members.
On Friday, May 29, 2020, a Branch President meeting will be held from 9:00 am to noon.
The Regional Council will commence at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2020.
The Regional Council dinner will take place on the evening of Friday, May 29, 2020.
On Saturday, May 30th, the Regional Council will continue from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and will include breakfast and lunch for the delegates.
Branch Reports, Committee Reports and Resolutions
Please note, Branch reports, Committee reports and resolutions to be included in the virtual binder are due by Friday, April 10th. In order for documents to be translated and included in the virtual binder, please respect this due date for materials.

Nominations for Regional Executive
Nominations are being accepted for three (3) – three (3) year positions to be elected at the Council meeting. A nomination form can be submitted in advance to the Vancouver office or at the Council meeting on May 29 and 30, 2020, prior to the elections.
