Time for Action for the Future!

I have always strongly believed in the fiscal and moral accountability of elected union officials. Members’ dues should only be used for the betterment of the members. PIPSC must report more clearly and transparently on the use of these dues.

Leaders must be willing to stand behind their informed decisions and be accountable to the membership. Integrity, communication and learning from the past are critical for effective leadership.

Stewards are the core of the union and PIPSC needs to do more to support them. We need to dispense with the politics choking our stewards, focus on member representation and move forward.

PIPSC continues to drift away from its main purpose of effective membership representation due to a leadership group that appears to be more interested in its own agenda than in basic union principles. Such challenges demand a dedicated, experienced, trustworthy and gutsy union representative. Someone in the workplace, who embraces moving forward and works collaboratively. I am that person.

As a dedicated steward and advocate, with personal experience as an individual with a disability and not aligned with the management team in the workplace, I have courageously confronted the employer on critical issues such as staffing practices, the outsourcing of IT functions, and the continual evolution of the workplace. My unwavering objective is to contribute to the enhancement of our workplaces for the benefit of all our members.

As an NCR Director on the Board, I would be committed to advancing and supporting the following strategic initiatives:

  • Revitalizing Membership Engagement and Representation: I will champion efforts to enhance member involvement and ensure robust representation through increased Employment Relations Officers.
  • Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency: I am dedicated to ensuring that PIPSC operates with fiscal prudence, upholding the highest standards of transparency and accountability, and adhering to the directives of the Annual General Meeting.
  • Equitable Staffing and Career Mobility: I will advocate for fair and transparent staffing practices, promoting career mobility opportunities for all our members.
  • Enhanced Support for Representatives: I will work to provide comprehensive support to representatives from the Separate Employers group within PIPSC and bolster the effectiveness of Consultation Teams.
  • Protection of Professional Work: I am committed to safeguarding the integrity and value of our professionals' work within the Public Service.

I humbly ask for your support and vote for NCR Director on the Board.
