REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE
Presented to the 98th Annual General Meeting
It was a very busy year for both the Finance committee and Finance Section at PIPSC as we needed to produce two budgets and two sets of financial statements as the AGM last year changed to the fiscal year from January – December to July – June. Therefore we will present budgets for 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. We will also have audited financial statements for calendar year 2016 and for the first 6 months of 2017.
We have also examined a few policies in the institute and submitted recommendations to the Board. Also we discussed various financial issues that arose during the year and suggested solutions.
It is my first year as chair of the Finance Committee; I have enjoyed the challenge and the great people I have worked with this year. The members of the committee are:
