Here is to the CS Group and all its members, wishing them a happy 50th anniversary!

The CS Group broke new ground in 1991 when it became the first PIPSC group of more than 4,000 members to go on strike and to push for the development of a Strike Fund. They received much attention from national media, but were ordered back to work and had a settlement imposed.

Bargaining Update

February 4, 2019

To all proud CS Group Members,

As announced in CS Bytes #4, the CS Group tabled its proposals on January 10, 2019. Please find below the link to the CS Group’s Bargaining Proposals for this round of negotiations. You will also find links to the Employer’s proposals and the proposals from the Central Table.

First I would like to say that I am very pleased to see the return of the CS Group newsletter. The Group has relied upon individual postings, notices, surveys and bargaining updates in CS Bytes over the past few years. We hope to continue with timely announcements and information while providing a broader overview and knowledge pieces in regularly published newsletters.
The Elections Committee is requesting nominations for these positions. Such nominations must include the candidate’s name (printed) and signature accepting the nomination, as well as the position for which the candidate is being nominated. Nominations must also include the name and signature of at least three (3) members of the CS Group.
Here we are together again at the bargaining table. For some of us this is a return and for others it is the beginning of a new experience. In any case, it is a serious commitment to represent CS Group members collectively in the form of bargaining, by promoting the rights and interests of members and by vigorously safeguarding professional standards.
