Ontario Young Professionals Committee (OYPC)

The Ontario Regional Executive is looking for volunteers to participate as members of the Ontario Young Professionals Committee (OYPC).

All Ontario members in good standing are welcome to put their names forward.  Preference will be given to members thirty five (35) years of age or under. The Committee will consist of six (6) young professionals and the Young Professionals Liaison of the Ontario Regional Executive.  The term of the committee will be two (2) years.

STEWARD OF THE YEAR AWARD

Ontario Region Executive Vacancy – One-year term ending April 29, 2023

Pursuant to Ontario Region bylaw 6.9.2, the Ontario Region has a vacancy to appoint on the ORE which will be for the balance of a one-year term ending April 29^th, 2023.  

There will be at least three (3) Ontario Region Executive meetings prior to the term expiring and the successful candidate will be provided with a portfolio(s) to look after during the balance of the term.  Other duties may be assigned in support of ORE functions.

Request for Sergeants at Arms 

Good Day,

In order to help with the effective running of the 2022 PIPSC AGM the Institute has decided to have Sergeant's at Arms at the meeting. Sergeants at Arms are very common in parliamentary organizations and the labor movement at conventions and meetings. The Sergeants at Arms, under the direction of the presiding officer, helps to maintain order, decorum and respect at the meeting. The Sergeant at Arms acts as doorkeeper, aids in recognizing points of order, and is responsible for the comfort and convenience of the assembly.
