As part of its 100th Anniversary celebrations, PIPSC has partnered with Tree Canada to plant trees in all regions of Canada. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has created difficulties in organizing some of these events. An event has been organized for the Yukon, to be held in Whitehorse on Sunday, June 12, 2022. All PIPSC members, and their families, in the Yukon are invited to come out and celebrate with PIPSC President Jenn Carr, BC/Yukon Regional Director Kal Sahota, members of the BC/Yukon Regional Executive, representatives from Tree Canada, and the City’s Mayor and Council.

Please plan to come out and make this a great day for PIPSC in Whitehorse. Refreshments will be provided by the Regional Executive.

Date: Sunday, June 12, 2022

Time: 2:00PM

Location: Clock tower by the federal building on the corner of 3rd Ave and Main Street

RSVP to Pmantler@pipsc.ca so that we can have an idea of how many people to provide refreshments for.

As the agreement between Tree Canada and the City of Whitehorse is to replace some larger trees along Main Street, we will be unable to involve PIPSC members and their families in the actual planting of a number of small trees, but we hope to be able to participate in the replacement of one of the larger trees.

This event will give members and their families the opportunity to participate in one of PIPSC’s 100th Anniversary events and to meet PIPSC President Jenn Carr, Regional Director Kal Sahota, and members of the BC/Yukon Regional Executive.

In Solidarity,
Philip Mantler,
Chair, BC/Yukon Regional Executive
