GENERAL MEETING DATE(S):

October 10, 2018 – We held our AGM. We discussed the importance of becoming members, becoming more active and involved and the significance of stewardship. We also discussed the status of our group’s Constitution and By-Laws. We also had an election for our bargaining team. The members of our bargaining team will be Misty Matthews-Emery, Annie Maltais and Maryse Allard.

MEMBERSHIP CONCERNS:

As a relatively new bargaining unit, and member of PIPSC, it continues to be a very busy time for our Group. We are hoping to soon have our By-Laws approved by PIPSC and ratified by the members. We are entering our second round of collective bargaining in 2019, so we expect that negotiations will be our main focus and priority. We are anxious to start our next round of bargaining. Getting our first collective agreement in place was an important first step but there are still many goals that we have set for negotiations.
