Prairies/NWT Regional Director - January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018 and January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021

During my term as Director, some of the Regional activities I prioritized were:

  • Member Engagement and Steward Recruitment
    • I met a lot of members throughout the region by attending branch and sub-group AGM’s, facilitating lunch and learns; organizing coffee chats and social events.  These types of interactions allowed me to learn what really matters to our members and to recruit more stewards.
    • The formation of a Regional Youth Committee
  •   Steward and Member Training
    • Ensuring that stewards training needs were being met so they had the tools they needed to help the members.
    • Making sure we had relevant lunch and learn topics and online courses to educate our members on the issues that are important to them.
  • Planning and Organizing Regional and Steward Councils.
  • Chairing the Regional Executive meetings.

Member of the Finance Committee, January 2023 to December 2024

Steward from 2006 until August 30, 2023, when I retired form CRA.  Most of my 33 years of service were in audit.

If elected some of my priorities will be:

  • Ensuring that BOD decisions are made in accordance with the By Laws and Policies of the Institute and are fiscally responsible.
  • Continuing to work on the governance model of the Institute. In particular, who has the authority to make certain decisions.

I respectfully ask for your support for election as Vice-President, Part-Time
