Hello fellow PIPSC members:

This National election is one where big changes are needed at the highest levels of PIPSC. We all need to be involved in seeing that our organization is led by the most loyal and true representatives we can elect.

Recently we have all been witness to shocking events at the National board table. You be the judge from witnessing these events whether transparency and respect exist there. This has caused grave concern to us all. We need to bring back a sense of balance and purpose to our board.  The chaos and disharmony of the present should be replaced with calm and balance. Change is needed.

My involvement in Unions began in 1996. I was a local treasurer and steward until I took a short break in 2002 to balance family commitments. I renewed my stewardship in 2011 and became the local President of my Branch and Sub-Group and eventually received the honour of being nominated the Steward of the Year in 2015. The following year I was elected to be a member of the Ontario Regional Executive, and Chaired the Ontario Regional Council in 2023.

I am stepping forward to contribute even more of my time and effort for the benefit of PIPSC members.

While the Ontario Regional (OR) Director is foremost elected to represent the interests of Ontario members, they also contribute to larger PIPSC matters and provide their opinion and advice on PIPSC issues on a National scale. I would bring positive and worthwhile value to any discussion occurring at the National level.

Spending is an issue. Big deficits are being presented. This indicates to some that Union Dues should be increased but that is only one possible option. I see spending needing to be reined in where it makes sense to do so. There ought to be a desire to reduce unnecessary spending.

Recent events have been costly both financially and also to our public image and reputation. I believe in working together with respect, and to especially respect democracy where the people have spoken.
