Groups

Members belong to Groups, which include all the members of the same bargaining unit. Each Group operates under its own Constitution which must be consistent with Institute By-Laws. Members of the Group elect their own Executive.

As a member,your voice counts and you're encouraged to participate in the activities of your Group.

From November 29 – December 1, we resumed negotiations with the employer for the renewal of our collective agreement. To make room to focus on the key priorities of our AFS members, we resolved over twenty editorial changes on the morning of our first day.

As stated in an earlier posting the CP bargaining team should have been in negotiations the week of December 5 - to December 8. Due to a change in Negotiators from the Treasury Board, the negotiations have been postponed until January 30 to February 3, 2023.
