Groups

Members belong to Groups, which include all the members of the same bargaining unit. Each Group operates under its own Constitution which must be consistent with Institute By-Laws. Members of the Group elect their own Executive.

As a member,your voice counts and you're encouraged to participate in the activities of your Group.

To this day, the employer has refused to start the Pay Equity process by scheduling an initial meeting. PIPSC has been ready to meet for several months and has tried to convince the employer many times to begin the process.

The Pay Equity Committee (PEC) had an initial meeting back in March, however progress and slowed down since then. The employer has scheduled and rescheduled meetings over the past few months and the PEC has not been able to advance its work on pay equity.

Work to develop and implement a proactive Pay Equity Plan at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has been ongoing, and committee members have been spending multiple days per week with UTE, PSAC, Unrepresented, and employer representatives to complete a Pay Equity Plan.
