The Board of Directors needs members who are accountable; are not afraid of making the hard decisions; fiscally responsible; have a good working knowledge of the By Laws and the Policies of the Institute as well as the Canada Not for Profit Corporations Act. I believe I have the experience that is needed to move the Institute forward in a positive manner.

- Chair of the By Laws and Policy Committee, January 2017 to December 2021.
- Chair of the Resolution Sub Committee
- Member of the Policy Review Committee, 2017 to 2019.
- Member of the Executive Compensation Committee, January 2017 to December 31, 2021
- Acting Part Time Vice President, July 2018 to December 2018
Prairies/NWT Regional Director - January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018 and January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021
During my term as Director, some of the Regional activities I prioritized were:
- Member Engagement and Steward Recruitment
- I met a lot of members throughout the region by attending branch and sub-group AGM’s, facilitating lunch and learns; organizing coffee chats and social events. These types of interactions allowed me to learn what really matters to our members and to recruit more stewards.
- The formation of a Regional Youth Committee
- Steward and Member Training
- Ensuring that stewards training needs were being met so they had the tools they needed to help the members.
- Making sure we had relevant lunch and learn topics and online courses to educate our members on the issues that are important to them.
- Planning and Organizing Regional and Steward Councils.
- Chairing the Regional Executive meetings.
Member of the Finance Committee, January 2023 to December 2024
- Facilitating training for treasurers
- Reviewing Constituent Body finances
- Reviewing BOD expenses
- Participating in the Institute’s budgeting process
Steward from 2006 until August 30, 2023, when I retired form CRA. Most of my 33 years of service were in audit.
If elected some of my priorities will be:
- Ensuring that BOD decisions are made in accordance with the By Laws and Policies of the Institute and are fiscally responsible.
- Continuing to work on the governance model of the Institute. In particular, who has the authority to make certain decisions.
