Candidate for Vice-President (Part-Time)

David Chu

(Regular member)

Hello,

My number one priority is you - the members. Included in this is ensuring that the Institute is being fiscally responsible with your union dues. I offer integrity, honesty, respect, transparency and accountability.

As part-time Vice-President, I endeavor to act as a primary conduit between the Board of Directors and our membership. Engage in active listening with our members and their representative bodies. Champion the work of the Institute and the Board of Directors. Communicate clear linkages between the work of members and the overall objectives of the Institute. I will publish status reports every two months.

As a PIPSC steward for 20 plus years, I have extensively broadened my knowledge and gained experience by serving members in almost all aspects of the PIPSC organization.

Teamwork is key for me, and my approach is based on negotiation rather than confrontation. I strongly believe that my experience will help me make a positive contribution to the Board of Directors and membership.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

David Chu
