PIPSC 106th AGM Highlights

We did it! We completed our 106th Annual General Meeting. We are proud to say that we are truly Union Strong. Thank you for joining us and for your invaluable contributions to PIPSC.

On December 12 and 13, over 800 members from across the country gathered in Toronto, Ontario to accomplish great things for our union. Here’s a recap of our PIPSC 2025 AGM:

Indigenous Greeting

Kim Wheatley

Grandmother Kim Wheatley, commenced the AGM with an Indigenous greeting, bringing attention to the importance of reconciliation in all our union activities.

President O’Reilly’s Opening Address

Sean O'Reilly

To open the AGM, President Sean O’Reilly gave a warm welcome to our union delegates. This year has truly been focused on strengthening our union, developing our services, and preparing for another year of representing and advocating on behalf of members across Canada.

Member and Steward Awards

Jonathan Fitzpatrick

Our members and stewards are the backbone of our union. They are leaders, educators, supporters, communicators, and representatives. To recognize their skills, knowledge, and dedication to their peers, several members and stewards from each region received awards. Thank you for all of your hard work!

A new way to engage with PIPSC

Janine Morrison

At this year’s AGM we presented a first-look at the new PIPSC website launching in 2026. Updating our digital tools and platforms is one of the ways we’re working to make our member experience better.

Check our website for voter results of AGM resolutions. You can also relive the events with us on Facebook and Instagram.

Although the AGM is over, each of us has the power to continue building the connections and community that keep our union strong.

In solidarity,

Your PIPSC AGM Team
