NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Ville-Marie Branch of the Institute will be holding its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on

PLACE: Restaurant Deli Planet
Gare Centrale, Montreal
You are cordially invited to participate in your branch AGM.
The AGM is a gathering of all the members of PIPSC working in the downtown core of Montreal. This year, we are also welcoming to our group members of the former Montreal-Est Branch. This is an excellent opportunity to build relationships and exchange ideas and raise issues of concern. Elections will also be held for a new executive.
A meal with beverages will be offered.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Only members who register will have their supper paid for. To register, please send a confirmation email to the email address evangelia@pipsc.ca no later than Monday June 17, 2024.
In order to be respectful of the restaurant, we would like to provide them with an approximate number of attendees so they can plan accordingly. People who register but don't show up, incur costs for the restaurant. In case of cancellation, please contact us via the same email address evangelia@pipsc.ca, no later than Monday June 17, 2024.

Constitution and By-Laws
If you wish to propose any changes to the Constitution or by-laws, they should be submitted to Renaud Guiard rguiard@pipsc.ca no later than June 6th. Any proposed modifications will be discussed and voted upon at the AGM. After the 6th, please visit the Virtual Binder to familiarise yourself with the proposed changes, if necessary.
Elections
Call for Nominations for the Ville-Marie Branch Executive.
Given that the last elections were held in 2019, all the terms of office of the remaining members of the executive have expired. We are now accepting nominations for the following positions:
All positions are for a two (2) year term
President
Vice-President
Treasurer
Secretary
Member at large (7 positions)
Voting will be held at the AGM.
Please refer to article 6.8 the Constitution and By-Laws for details with respect to each position.
Members in good standing may submit their nomination to the Elections Committee by e-mail before 5pm June 20th 2024. For those candidates who cannot attend the AGM, they have to clearly indicate that they will accept the post they have been nominated for, should they be elected, failing which their candidacy will not be retained.
All candidacies must be sent to ppotvin@pipsc.ca. Please clearly indicate in the subject line – Élections – Chaptire Ville-Marie and specify which post(s) you are interested in.
Nominations may also be made during the AGM, even in the absence of the person being nominated, as long as the nominee has given his/her acceptance of the nomination.
