Notice of the 82nd Prairie/NWT Regional Council
Date: June 12–13, 2026
Location: Matrix Hotel, Edmonton, Alberta
The 82nd Prairie/NWT Regional Council (PRC) will be held over 1.5 days, beginning on Friday, June 12, 2026, and continuing all day Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Matrix Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta.
Members who are interested in attending the Regional Council should contact their Branch President no later than April 7, 2026.
Delegates are selected by Branches in accordance with the Prairie/NWT Regional Constitution, based on Branch membership as of December 31, 2025.
Bylaw Amendments
In accordance with the Prairie/NWT Regional Constitution, proposals for amendments to the Regional By-laws must be submitted in writing to the Regional Executive.
Please forward any proposed by-law amendments to Prashila Chand (pchand@pipsc.ca), Prairie/NWT Regional Office Administrator, no later than Friday, May 8, 2026.
Regional bylaw amendments cannot be made from the floor of the Regional Council.
Regional Executive Election
The following Regional Executive position will be up for election at the 82nd Prairie/NWT Regional Council:
Treasurer – two (2) year term
In accordance with the Prairie/NWT Regional Constitution, the Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the Region, reporting on regional finances, and supporting the Regional Executive in the management of regional funds.

Nominations may also be made from the floor of the Regional Council in accordance with the Regional Constitution.
Resolutions
All Resolutions for debate at the Council should be forwarded to Prashila Chand, the Regional Office Administrator no later than Friday, May 22, 2026, for posting to the virtual binder.
Resolutions may also be introduced from the floor and must be submitted in writing to the Chair or Parliamentarian.
