Ontario Region Executive Meeting - August 7, 2024

Meeting called to Order at 7:35 pm

  1. John opened the meeting explaining that Sabrina would be presenting 5 resolutions to the ORE, seeking endorsement. These resolutions will be submitted to the Resolutions Committee prior to the August 19th, 2024 deadline.
    1. Presentation and discussion of the “Resolution 13.2.3.1”. This resolution seeks to ensure that union business be conducted in priority.
      Motion: That the ORE sponsor the following resolution at the PIPSC AGM.
      Moved: Sabrina Labbé

    2. Presentation and discussion of the “Resolution 13.2.6.2”. This resolution seeks to reduce the number of delegate seats by updating the formula used to calculate the number of seats given to Groups.
      Motion: That the ORE sponsor the following resolution at the PIPSC AGM.

    3. Presentation and discussion of the “Resolution 13.2.6.3”. This resolution seeks to reduce the number of delegate seats by updating the formula used to calculate the number of seats given to regions.

    4. Presentation and discussion of the “Resolution Use of Funds”. This resolution seeks to ensure that funds are used according to PIPSC bylaws and policies.
      No motion was proposed, Sabrina had technical difficulties and could not continue.
