BC/Yukon Regional Executive Election

The following procedures and election processes are the recommendation of the Regional Executive and were approved as amended by the 2012 Regional Council.  That the election process be as follows:

Call for Volunteers on the Elections Committee

Elections Committee members elect a Chair

Call for nominations (second call from the floor)

Determine if clauses 3.4.3.1 and 3.4.3.2 are invoked  based on the nominations received

Speeches from the candidates before lunch (2 minutes)

Delegates vote after returning from lunch

Chair of Elections Committee announces the results of the election by providing the names and number of votes

Chair of Regional Council makes a call for appeal, if any, for resolution by the Regional Council
