In accordance with its By-Law 9, the NR Group will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Delta Ottawa City Centre, 101 Lyon St., Ottawa, ON.  

The AGM is a forum to provide direction to your NR Group Executive. Reports from members of the Executive will be presented and business affairs will be discussed. 

All members of the group are eligible to attend and speak at Annual General Meetings. Only delegates shall be entitled to move or second motions or resolutions and to vote at Annual General Meetings.

This notice to all NR Group Members is to seek applications from members who wish to be delegates to this year’s AGM. Delegates will be chosen by the Group Executive in accordance with the group’s bylaws and the Institute's policy.

In the selection of delegates, the Executive shall consider the following:

  1. being a Steward;
  2. involvement in union activities;
  3. sub-group representation;

The Executive will make the final determination while respecting the geographical proportion of the membership.

Should you have any amendments to existing bylaws, or would like to propose new bylaws or resolutions, please submit them in a Word document to Elizabeth Morin, NR Administrative Coordinator at emorin@pipsc.ca for review by the By-Law Committee before 4 pm ET on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
