** CTAO Severance Grievance Update**
We want to provide an update to members who filed grievances when the CRA refused to include their prior years of service with the CRA as part of the calculation of their severance pay entitlement following a spell with the Ontario Ministry of Revenue. The matter is currently scheduled to proceed at the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board on January 23-25, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario. Given the size and importance of the case we do not anticipate three days is sufficient to hear the matter nor do we anticipate a conclusion on January 25. We will provide more updates as the case progresses and we would encourage you to check the website periodically for more information or contact your local sub-group president for more details.
