The Call for Nominations is for the following six (6) positions on the BCFNHA Group Executive:

1. President

2. Vice President

3. Secretary

4. Treasurer

5. Member-at-Large

6. Member-at-Large

Please see the following for the description of duties from section 6.8 of the BCFNHA By-Laws:

6.8 Duties

6.8.1 President The President shall call and preside at all meetings of the Group and of the Group Executive, and shall present to the Annual General Meeting a report on Group activities.

6.8.2 Vice-President The Vice-President shall assist the President in the performance of his duties, and in the absence of the President, perform the duties of that position.

6.8.3 Secretary The Secretary shall be responsible for sending notices of all meetings of the Group and of the Group Executive. The Secretary shall record minutes of meetings, including attendance, maintain records and correspondence of the Group and of the Group Executive, and shall ensure that a copy of minutes are filed with the Institute.

6.8.4 Treasurer The Treasurer shall maintain the financial records of the Group as required by Institute policy, prepare a financial report for each meeting of the Group Executive and each General Meeting of the Group, submit a detailed financial statement to the Institute as required, and prepare the request for the annual allowance of the Group. Copies of the financial report shall be available to all Group members.

6.8.5 Members-at-Large shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the Executive.

How to submit your nomination for a position

All regular and retired members of PIPSC who are members of the BCFNHA Group are eligible to run. The Nomination Form must be completed, signed and supported by at least two (2) Regular Members.

Due to many of our members working in different locations, members who wish to nominate a candidate can indicate their support by signing the form and submitting it, or by an email confirming their support, including their name and contact information.

Candidates must also submit a résumé of up to 200 words in Word format. Nomination forms, along with scanned attachments, can be submitted by e-mail to contact group_elections.

**Please note that it is the responsibility of the candidate to review their résumés prior to being submitted, seeing that they will not be proofread or corrected beforehand.


The closing date for submission of nomination forms is November 23, 2017 @ NOON (PST).
