1)Call to Order
- Chris called the meeting to order at 17:14

4)President’s Report
- MFL – Board meeting of Dec 7th deferred discussion on affiliate membership to Jan meeting.
- Citation certificates forwarded to the Board.
- Congrats Donna/Terri for an excellent King’s Head Holiday event
- Branch AGM - Notice for the AGM went out. Need to discuss door prizes.
MOTION: Branch purchase 10 – $XX MLCC and 10 - $XX Cineplex gift cards for door prizes at the AGM. Moved: Herbert, 2nd Donna. Carried.
ACTION: Jay to purchase gift cards at a price of $XX.
- Member at large position (Herbert’s second year of 2 year term) will be vacant as he is resigning his position due to a change of employment.
MOTION: One year term to be filled by the runner up after the 6 positions are filled at the election at the AGM. Candidate to be offered a one year term. Moved: Terri, 2nd Herbert, discussion regarding the process to fill the position.Carried.
- Cory to replace Herbert on the elections committee.
- Region – names have been forwarded for committees.
5)Treasurer’s Report
- Jason circulated financials electronically prior to meeting.
- Branch reimbursed $XX for 2 meals from PIPSC.
- Wpg open house was $XX.
MOTION: Reimburse Donna for King’s Head Open House $XX. Moved: Jason, 2nd Herbert.Carried.
- Brandon Open House was $XX.
6) New Business
- Event Planning:
- Open House – Winnipeg, King’s Head - Thursday Dec 6, 2018. Donna & Terri. 1 drink ticket to all upon arrival. 2nd upon request. Due to pop not needing a drink ticket, there was a significant increase in pop consumed; the pop cost was $X a drink. This year had less people but cost more than 2017 as some attendees had 2 drinks plus pop. Propose reduce time of event and one ticket. Discussion deferred.
- Open House – Brandon - Mo - $XX approved previously. 26 people attended. 1 drink ticket and more food this year. Was held 5-8 pm.
- Lunch time promotional event – Pramesh – only 5 or 6 people
- Brandon Christmas Children Event – Mo requests that as in the past the Branch supports.
MOTION: Contribute $XX for the Branch PIPSC Children Christmas event at a cost of $XX. Moved: Mo, 2nd Terri. Carried.
- WSMB AGM – Jay – Caboto Centre – January 24 – require $XX deposit for Caboto Centre.
- GCWCC Canada Charitable event support at Fisheries and Oceans - $XX was spent of the $XX previously approved.
7)Other Business:
- Round Table
-Herbert – Received an email suggesting the location of the Open House is changed (Paul Schitz). Discussion regarding changing locations, it has been looked into previously, but there was nothing in a similar price range. Deferred to next Open House Planning committee.
-Cory – STRIKE! (the musical) is to be held at Rainbow Stage this summer to celebrate 100th anniv of Wpg strike. Might be an event for the Branch to organize attendance at.Info deferred to next meeting.
-Bryan – cancelled TB dates as no mandate.Consider possibility of lobbying
