Agenda

Last Meeting Follow-up

  1. Brockville Meet & Greet Cancelled. Only 1 East of Kingston signed up.  Others were regular attendees at Kingston events and are local.
  2. Wellness Fairs went well. We definitely will be applying for Better Together funding next year for these events again. It was unfortunate to see how many of our own members were not aware of our Union.
  3. Raxx Member Appreciation Event: ended up costing us much less and Raxx was very accommodating considering the number of people who attended who signed up did not attend. Only 13 people attended. Logistics of this event next year will need to be explored. Was it the date (federal statutory holiday)? Is it that it’s during the week (Tuesday)? Weekend or Friday events are very expensive and hard to book.

New Business

  1. Christmas Party - Budget Estimate ($X,XXX). So far 15 kids are signed up with multiple gifts purchased already (Prime Day). Troy agreed to be Santa. Wrapping will be done by Cindy, Nicole, and Janet.
  1. Cookie decorating station - a volunteer will hand each child a paper bag which will contain 1 cookie, pre-measured icing, and candy for decoration preventing all the kids touching all the items (preventing spread of germs); they can then decorate at the assigned table or take it home to decorate.
  2. Cater in subs or pizza -order after cut-off sign up date (estimating $XXX).
  3. Music- we can bring a Bluetooth speaker and connect to a Spotify Christmas list. Nicole to bring in a blue tooth speaker.
  4. Colouring station will include crayons and colouring sheets.
  5. Hot chocolate will be provided. Will borrow from Nicole’s grandma’s church.
  6. Cindy to bring in lit Christmas trees and Nicole will bring a power bar.
  7. Give out raffle tickets to Execs to sell in workplaces - or best option for tracking.
  8. Leasha is to collect the money from the buyer, get their name, contact information and let her know. She has been pulling the tickets, writing names on the back, ticket numbers in a spread sheet, receipt sent to the buy with cost, ticket #s and thank you for supporting the Food bank.
  1. Treasurer: Bank Balance - $X,XXX.XX
  2. To Do

    • Steward Appreciation Event - Splittsville ($X,XXX)
    • AGM $XXXX estimate based on last AGM: Look at Italian Club as it was well received last AGM.
