Well-being Campaign: Develop or strengthen your resilience
This month, we are continuing the Well-being Campaign under the theme of Resilience. Resilience fosters good mental health because it helps us recover more quickly from difficult situations and overcome adversity. Personal resilience is necessary to overcome daily stress, while resilience within a team makes it possible to create a psychologically healthy workplace.

Learn about the awareness-raising tools and take part in the events:
- January 4 to January 29: Bell Let’s Talk 2021 is a Canada-wide mental health awareness campaign. Take part in the conversation to eliminate the stigma around mental health.
- January 28: Participate in the panel discussion on mental health and intersectionality with diversity and inclusion on Bell Let’s Talk Day 2021 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm (EST). You have until January 27, 10:00 am (EST) to register.

Take care of yourself
Here are a few ideas to support your efforts for resilience and well-being:
- “Breath Break at the office,” a guided meditation produced by the Privy Council Office
- Yoga sessions in English and in French created by Dave Sullivan, Manager at ECCC
- Stretching sessions in French and in English from Pilates Vitalité
- Eat a variety of healthy foods each day. Consult Canada’s food guide for healthy meal ideas

Managing during a pandemic puts us in a difficult situation. Your mental health and that of your employees is affected. Learn to strengthen or increase your resilience or that of your team in order to create a psychologically healthy workplace. When you are prepared and equipped to face a difficult situation, the risks of negative outcomes are reduced.
