What is NOC-ROC?

Many members have heard us talk about the NOC-ROC when we discuss the bargaining process, but how many CS actually know or understand the significance of the NOC-ROC?
The National Organizing Committee (NOC) and Regional Organizing Committees (ROC) are the mobilization arms of the CS Group when we are in bargaining mode. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining a communication tree, rallying members and planning and organizing public activities in support of bargaining.
While the Bargaining Team sits across from the Treasury Board negotiation team, the NOC-ROC echo our concerns and raise our profile with the employer and with all Canadian citizens. This visibility serves to boost the morale of the Bargaining Team and demonstrate to the employer that all 16,000 CS Group members are behind the bargaining demands.
