BC/Yukon RC - Northern B.C. Branch Report

This report was prepared for the British Columbia / Yukon Regional Council Meeting scheduled for June 1 & 2, 2018.

The Northern BC Branch held its Annual General Meeting on December 14, 2017.  An election was held for member at large positions and Amber Storey, Curtis Blackburn, and Sandra Uy were acclaimed as a members at large.

This year, the position of Vice President and up to 2 positions as Members-at-Large are potentially up for election on the branch executive.

The Northern BC Branch has not yet set a date for this year's Annual General Meeting; we will likely try to hold this late in the year as well so that we can inform members of any items of interest that comes out of the AGM.

The branch has participated in several joint events with PSAC in our local area this year and it is hoped that this will continue in the future.

It is again hoped that during regular travel through their employment members of the executive for the branch will be available to hold meetings with our members in the outlying communities that make up our area in the coming year.
