The IT Group is leading the way in our union’s negotiations. We are the first Group to sit down with the Treasury Board, and what we achieve at the table will affect all PIPSC members.
We are asking for improvements to your collective agreement, including stronger Workforce Adjustment (WFA) protections. These protections matter now, as members are already being affected and facing the risk of layoffs.
WFA protections exist because they were won at the bargaining table, thanks to the strength and support of all of you, our members. It is clear that without your support, we would be facing a very different reality.
This is why it’s so important that you step forward and visibly demonstrate the support that is critical to successful negotiations. The union and the employer both know this.
We will be meeting with the employer on February 11 and 12, and regional virtual rallies will be held on those dates. This is your opportunity to show the employer that you, your working conditions, and your bargaining team matter.
