Today, the PIPSC New Brunswick Crown Counsel group signed its new Collective Agreement with the government of New Brunswick. This agreement will run retroactively from October of 2023 to September of 2028.

This new agreement will give pay increases to New Brunswick Crown Council members that are in line with the principles of pay parity with the Crown Prosecutors. This is an issue that we have fought for at the bargaining table not only in this round of negotiations, but since the formation of our bargaining unit. We are, as a union, committed to the idea of equal pay for equal work, and this is a principle that we will never abandon.

We would like to thank our membership for the commitment and solidarity that they showed throughout the bargaining process, they are the union. We would also thank the union leaders across the country that supported us in our negotiations and, in particular, the Canadian Association of Crown Counsel and its member associations.
