The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada

The CRPEG bargaining team is seeking a ratification vote on the Company’s revised final offer of settlement. The outcome of this vote will determine how the bargaining team will move forward regarding our labour dispute with CNL.

To assist you in making an informed decision, we have prepared a comprehensive ratification package. We urge you to review all the documents before casting your vote:

Final Offer of Settlement Summary of Changes
Draft Collective Agreement with Changes
Minutes of Settlement

The terms of the Company’s offer of settlement requires the bargaining team to either recommend the offer or remain neutral. Accordingly, the bargaining team will not make a voting recommendation to membership on this offer.

A “No” vote means: You reject the offer of settlement and you approve further strike activity. You instruct your bargaining team to go back to the bargaining table with the Company. A “no” vote will  result in the resumption of escalated strike actions against the Company.

A “Yes” vote means: You are accepting all of the changes proposed in the offer of settlement. This round of bargaining with the Company will be concluded and the agreement will be ratified. Strike actions will not resume.

Voting will be open from June 17 at 5:00pm until June 19 at 12:00pm.  Membership will be informed of the ratification vote results by email on June 19. You should have received your electronic voting key from PIPSC. If you did not receive your voting key, please contact elections@pipsc.ca with “CRPEG Ratification Vote” in the subject line.

Thank you for your participation and solidarity throughout this process.

In solidarity,

Jonathan Fitzpatrick
