Call for Nominations for Steward Recognition Awards
Stewards play critical role as liaisons between members, employers, and our union.
I invite you to express your appreciation to a steward in this region, that devoted time, energy, and commitment to making your workplace and/or your member experience better. Please complete the nomination form and email it to pchand@pipsc.ca at our Edmonton Office.
Eligibility: All stewards located within the Prairie/NWT Region who have been actively performing their duties for a minimum of one year.
Submission Deadline: no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Nomination Form: Please ensure there is enough details to assess the steward’s unique impact.
Selection Criteria: a list of contributions and achievement that committee will consider are included in the nomination form.
Selection Process: the regional committee will review the nominations submitted and may collect additional input from our Employment Relations Officers (EROs) and group and consultation presidents who interact with those stewards on a regular basis.
Award Details: the regional committee will select two stewards whose efforts qualify to receive a memento at our Regional Steward Council in Edmonton on Sept 27-28, 2024. The regional committee will also select one ‘Steward of the Year’ who will be honored at PIPSC Annual General Meeting in Toronto on Nov 8-9, 2024.
