Your bargaining team met with the employer from January 30– February 1 for our third session of in-person negotiations.
We came prepared to discuss all non-monetary issues brought up at the last two sessions. Unfortunately the employer was not able to move on any of the proposals we discussed in our previous sessions. As a result, there was limited discussion and little progress towards settling on changes for a renewed collective agreement.
Our next session is scheduled for March 7 – 9, with a further session tentatively planned for April or May. We will be prepared to table our monetary proposals at the March session and hope that the employer comes to the table prepared to meaningfully negotiate on all of the outstanding non-monetary issues and table their monetary proposals.
