CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
2018 ELECTIONS (NATIONAL POOL YEAR)
There are six (6) SP Executive national pool positions to be filled by election for a three-year term, to expire with the completion of national pool elections in 2021. The positions are as follows:
- 3 (three) national pool positions for members from the five regions outside the NCR:
- Atlantic
- Québec
- Ontario
- Prairies and Northwest Territories
- British Columbia and Yukon regions
open to all members in these regions
- 2 (two) NCR positions open only to SP members in the NCR.
- 1 (one) position open only to SG PAT members
Regular members agreeing to stand for a position on the Group Executive must fill a position in the area in which their workplace is located. Retired members agreeing to stand for election must fill a position in the area in which their residence is located.
As shown on the attached Nomination Form, each nominee must indicate a willingness to serve, if elected, and each nomination must be supported by at least five (5) members of the SP Group. If the number of candidates for a position exceeds the number of positions to be filled, the Elections Committee will arrange for an election by the applicable members in that region.
