RE Group Sub Group Presidents’ Meeting
Notice and Call for Delegates
The RE Sub Group Presidents’ (SGP) meeting will be held on Saturday, June 13th, at Friday, June 12, 2020 at Delta Hotels on 101 Lyon St N, Ottawa ON from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Ottawa time). Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided on site. A Delegates’ dinner will be held the evening prior, in conjunction with the RE Annual General Meeting.
Each Sub Group is entitled to one representative at the RE SGP meeting. Presidents may specify an alternate if they are not attending, or if they are already attending as a member of the RE Group Executive. While attendees of the SGP cannot be guaranteed a delegate spot at the RE AGM the day prior, the delegate selection committee for the AGM will make a reasonable effort to accommodate those who are interested in attending both meetings.
If you wish to attend the Sub Group Presidents’ meeting, please indicate your intention by e-mailing Monica Seguin ( mseguin@pipsc.ca ) before April 3rd, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. (Ottawa time). Please note that while a representative of every Sub Group is entitled to attend, we need your registration information in order to properly arrange meals and accommodations. All expenses (meals, accommodation, travel, etc.) will be covered for confirmed delegates.
We expect to spend much of the day considering the revised RE Group strategy, and how we can involve you in concrete actions to meet our goals. We also plan to update on the specific issue of how to support our members in applying for conferences, particularly in light of our new collective agreement language. We are also interested in hearing about your local concerns – please feel free to flag these in advance to the RE Group President, Matthew MacLeod, at mmacleod@pipsc.ca.
