3. Approval of Minutes:

4. President’s Report

        In-person meetings suspended until September 7, 2021

        Scholarships deadline upcoming

        Online Regional Labour School ongoing

 

5. Treasurer’s Report – Jason

        Nothing much to report $X on hand

        Check for Samaritan House was cashed

        Sent in for e-transfers for gift cards reimbursement for contest $X

        Projected balance $X

 

6. New Business

        Logo Selection: Brent liked “N”, Kevin supported “O”, “T” had a few votes. Preference is “O” and “T”,                                                although concern T might be too busy.

        Is it possible to use to two logos depending on the media on which it is printed? Cory to enquire

 

        PRC delegate selection (Virtual Sat June 12, 2021) – 18 delegates 16 nominated so far- Cory will send list to PIPSC office.

        Branch AGM did have one in 2020. It is possible to have one if desired by the executive.

        Motion:

        Given that the WSMB held an AGM and election in 2020 be it resolved that the next WSMB AGM will be held in 2022.

7. Old Business

        2020 PIPSC AGM – postponed until June 5^th 2021.

        Member Engagement Contest. The executive thanked Pam for her work on this.

 

        Future member engagement to be carried forward to next meeting.

 

8. Round Table

        Kevin- provided an update with respect field operations at DFO. Situation is very fluid.

        Brent- may have someone interested in PRC

        Donna- nothing

        Pramesh- CS subgroup AGM three weeks ago. Pramesh elected Subgroup VP.

        Mo- nothing to add

        Pam- thanked everyone for work on contest

        Terri- SH AGM was postponed. SH subgroup meeting by zoom tomorrow.

        Jason- nothing new.

        Donna- will book Kingshead Pub for tentative open house in December.
