Hello everyone,
The Executives of your Shawinigan AFS Sub-Group invite you to meet in person and reconnect with your union at your 2026 Annual General Meeting, to be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., at 5:30 p.m. at Maman Fournier Restaurant | Pub.
Mr. Jean Couillard, AFS Québec regional representative and member of the bargaining team, and Mr. Frédéric Turso, PIPSC Employment Relations Officer, will be our guests.
Come and meet them!
Please confirm your attendance before March 27, 2026, by e-mail to vfs.shawinigan@pipsc.ca. The cost of the meal will be fully covered by your union. We will only be able to accommodate a total of 30 participants. Attendance prizes will be awarded to Shawinigan AFS Sub-Group members attending the 2026 Annual General Meeting.
Notice of Election – Shawinigan AFS Sub-Group
All Executive positions are up for election this year. To ensure continuity in the Executive, it is proposed that the positions of the Vice-President and of the Secretary be filled for a one-year term; next year, this term will be for three years. The positions of President and Treasurer be filled for a 3-year term. Director positions for two- and three-year terms are also up for election. These positions will be up for election at the 2026 Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Nominations may be submitted in writing up to the start of the 2026 AGM, or from the floor at the AGM. To run for a position, a candidate must be a regular member of the Shawinigan AFS Sub-Group. All candidates must be nominated by a member in good standing. Please use the nomination form available here:

All written nominations must be sent to Jean Couillard, Elections President, at jcouillard@pipsc.ca. A member whose nomination has been submitted in writing but who doesn’t expect to attend the Sub-Group 2026 AGM must notify the President in writing.
