1. Approval of Agenda
· Agenda approved by all.
2. Approval of January 19th, 2023 executive meeting minutes
· Minutes of the previous meeting approved by all.
3. The SP AGM will be held on April 1st 2023
· SP AGM will be held in Toronto.
· 4 Delegates (Reg Linco, Celine Fletcher, Malgorzata Samborski and Marcel Beaudoin). We have 2 more delegates than normal going as 50 Victoria St. subgroup was allocated 2 delegates from a new Highland Park area Sub-group, which didn’t have any delegates going to the SP AGM.
· 1 Observer (Beatrice Sze)
· Hospitality get-together on Friday 31 March (6-10PM).
· Main focus will probably be on bargaining update (@90 presentation and Q&A).
· Meeting to be hybrid.
· Travel recommended via train or own vehicle for meetings held in Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON.
4. Bargaining Update
5a. SP Group
· Meeting 7-9th February with Treasury Board:
o Minor housekeeping items were being checked off.
o Things moving forward but slowly.
· Pay proposal to T.B. to be put forth @spring time frame.
· Marcel gave a quick update on where some PSAC groups are with their negotiations, especially what the Public Interest Commissions (PICs) have recommended.
5b. Central Table
· Met once with Treasury Board:
· Currently greening the collective agreement proposals from PIPSC and Treasury Board (see link for more info: Central Table Proposals | The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (pipsc.ca))
· Items to watch for:
a. workforce adjustment proposal from Treasury Board.
b. Pay simplification. PIPSC opposes Treasury Board trying to simplify pay for all groups under one umbrella as groups have different criteria.
5. Bargaining Lunch and Learn
· Waiting for translation of email to be sent to sub group members.
· Presentation in April 13th by Enzo Barresi (SP Bargaining chair).
· @20min presentation and rest for Q&A.
Action: If PIPSC hasn’t finished translation in time, Marcel to send an email about the Bargaining L&L presentation to the PIPSC 50 Victoria St. members by Sunday 26th March.
6. Lunchtime Meetings
· Waiting for translation of email to be sent to sub group members.
· Q&A with Marcel once a month or once every two months. Sub-group exec member can attend if they want to.
Action: If PIPSC hasn’t finished translation in time, Marcel to send an email about the monthly L&L presentation to the PIPSC 50 Victoria St. members by Sunday 26th March.
7. Return to Office
· Some exceptions being given for certain groups (i.e., CIPO).
· Some issues with seating arrangements/schedules and IT issues (i.e., lack of network equipment or equipment not working).
Action: Marcel to check if cubicles near to him are adhoc or just empty cubicles
(Issue with lack network equipment in those cubicles, like lack of monitors).
8. Next Meeting
· 5thApril.
Action: Reg to send out meeting request for the 5th of April.
9. Round Table
· Member interested in joining the PIPSC 50 Victoria St... Recommended that person get the e-mail invite for the next executive meeting and observe the meeting (that person can join the 50 Victoria St executive if still interested).
· For the upcoming Sub-group’s president’s meeting in the Niagara region on June 17, Marcel still needs a replacement (salary replacement for travelling on Friday June 16th, accommodations and meals covered). So, any sub-group exec member who wants to go, contact Marcel.
Action: Mazen to forward the next 50 Victoria St. executive meeting email invite to the member interested in joining.
