Bargaining Update – Tony Goddard
- 3 full weeks of bargaining have been completed and all of the CS demands have been presented to the Treasury Board.
- next bargaining round is May 27 to 31
- this round of negotiations we concentrated on money
- 1.5% increase effective Dec 22, 2018 to bring us in line with CRA
- 6% market adjustment
- Yearly increments (negotiated at a central table)
Question Period
Regarding Pheonix compensation, will the 1.25 days of paid leave per year for 2016 to 2019 be all the basic compensation or if Pheonix continues to be used beyond 2019 can we expect more?
Tony indicated that future compensation is possible.
Regarding Pheonix compensation, if a new government is elected will we lose the 1.25 days of paid leave?
Tony replied that this deal is signed.
A question was asked about EWSP.
Tony briefly explained EWSP and indicated that it was not part of the CS bargaining but is being bargained at a separate table. It will, when ratified by our members, be included in our Collective Agreement.
