  1. 3 Day Return to Office Discussion

Main reason for meeting. Executive is not in favor of this. Members are unhappy with this decision by the Government. Executive members agreed to file individual grievances regarding this issue. We discussed doing. Ward will draft wording for grievances and send to Executive.

Ward shared stats from the Union 93% of the responses indicated less job satisfaction since the on-site presence has been implemented. Many reasons including higher stress from commuting; work life balance and transporting work items. The union indicated they have met many times to discuss the on-site presence and CRA did not consult with PIPSC about this unilateral decision for 3 mandatory days in the office.

  1. Survey Sent out by Zaigham

Discussion of survey sent out.  Respondents indicated very distressed by the news of the 3 days/per week in office mandate. Many indicated a willingness to file a grievance, and some willing to rally. Members want more engagement such as Holiday parties or Lunch n Learns.

  1. Donations other than GWCC

Ward suggested that if anyone wants their donations to go elsewhere besides GWCC, then he will send an email about ideas and others can give suggestions of other places too.

  1. Events

Discussed doing something for members for Public Service week as Union is withdrawing from UMC and not participating in Public Service Week.

Agreed to do Rainbow Coffee Day June 20 (Thursday) and June 25 (Tuesday), do a Lunch and Learn. Zaigham will organize the topic and look into a food truck. Roxane will book rooms for both. Tony will take care of coffee & donuts. Lucy will look for prizes for Rainbow Coffee Day.

We’ll do an event in September for Truth & Reconciliation
