It gives me great pleasure to offer myself as a candidate for election as the Ontario Region National Executive member.

I began my employment with a PSPC Ontario Region in Toronto in January 2014 after a career in the private sector working in the Durham region on land development, new home construction, and real property asset management.

After nine years of federal government employment and learning and observing the actions of PIPSC and collective bargaining I am now ready to step up and volunteer to help PIPSC members within Ontario Region and bring my voice of a professional land surveyor to the National NR Group Executive!

Main concern is related to the ability of our employer to hire and retain qualified professionals. There is a significant gap in pay compensation between private sector and Federal Public sector. If the gap is not closed then the inability to hire and retain the next generation of professional architects, engineers and surveyors will ultimately lead to the de-professionalization of GOC and loss of excellence in the custodianship and stewardship that our professional groups deliver in the service of all Canadians.

I bring a fresh new perspective and will enjoy the challenge and opportunities to represent Ontario Region.
