My name is Armel Boussougou and I am an indeterminate employee at Department of Public Services Procurement Canada (PSPC). As a Supply Team Leader undertaking management roles, I have accumulated over 15 years of experience in procurement and contracting, and also providing strategic advice to Department’s senior management in the area of Procurement and Contracting in the Federal Government.

I lead a team of Supply Specialists working with multi-disciplinary project activities, multi-phased and multi-million dollar projects in a constant changing environment, which demands the use of departmental and interdepartmental stakeholders to achieve the department’s mandate and objectives.

I work in a highly sensitive environment where my decisions and advices on the expenditure of public funds are open to public criticism and media attention. Thus, I must use superior judgment in carrying out my work in a transparent and ethical manner.

I am aware that tight deadlines and multiple priorities combined with important monetary consequences can result in mental stress. Thus, I always pay attention to every single detail possible, be proactive and apply lots of researches in the process for the purpose of getting it right the first time.

I have superior written comprehension and verbal communication skills, and an analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

I always make myself available when the circumstances allow it. When the office is undergoing an excess of workload, I will offer my assistance to do the work and meet the deadlines, and I am available to work a bit late or work overtime to accommodate management.
