Stephan Grosse

Stephan is a Senior Research Officer within the Human Health and Therapeutics (HHT) Research Center at the NRC in Montreal. Stephan holds a Master’s degree in Biology, and a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Leipzig (Germany). 

He joined the NRC-RO/RCO executive for the first time in 2016 and became a PIPSC steward shortly after. Since then, Stephan has worked within the NRC-RO/RCO executive to improve working conditions and to address issues of his fellow RO/RCO members through consultation with senior NRC management on national (Joint consultation committee, JCC) and local level (Local labour management consultation committee, LLMCC). He became RO/RCO Chief steward in 2017 and has worked together with PIPSC EROs helping members in grievance cases such as performance improvement plans, lay-offs, promotion and probation issues. He was also a member of the last bargaining team.
