Good day fellow Brothers and Sisters,

I am requesting your support to back me in my campaign to run as CS Executive member at large position.

I understand we are in trying times, with the pandemic slowly winding down and life beginning to quietly get back to a new normal; I see new challenges for us ahead as both Federal Public Service workers and union members, including issues like Tele-Working, Work life balance and Membership engagement. This is a very crucial time for us as a Union and is the primary reason I have decide to run for this position.

I have worked in the Federal Public Service for over 20 years in several capacities. Starting out as Network Analyst at Consulting and Audit Canada, I became a steward after the decision to dissolve CAC was made, and we had no local stewards available assist with the transition, by working with Management to ensure no job losses occurred to our CS(IT) and other PIPSC brothers and sisters.

After Consulting and Audit Canada, I was placed with Public Safety Canada where I became the President of the Consultation team and a member of the National OSH, serving for a total of 8 years, including 3 years after joining Shared Service Canada. My priorities included increasing members’ engagement in their union and strengthening representational services. While being an active Member at the Working Group of Consultation and Advisory Council, I became more engaged within the membership, and became a member of the Ottawa Metro Subgroup, where I currently sit as Vice President. In this role, I have represented many Members, organized several ‘Lunch and Learn’ events, spoke for members at bargaining tables, attended and helped organize many rallies, represented Ottawa Metro for the NOC, as well as at the annual CS Subgroup Presidents’ meeting.

I understand the needs of the membership, I promise to continue to engage with the members to hear and voice their views and to strengthen the union membership as well as safeguard our collective interests.

I believe in the Union and what we as a group have accomplished. I look forward to serving in a capacity to help us accomplish more.

I am soliciting your support in voting for me as CS Member at Large on the National Executive Committee so I can strengthen your voice and continue to provide support to our membership.

In solidary!
