Rachelle Millaire- 2023 Election Autobiography

I have been at the CNSC 8 years. I am a Senior Financial Advisor in FAD. I have been the NUREG executive treasurer for the last 2 years dealing with reporting, financial statements, funding requests, accounts receivable and accounts payable etc. On the executive I have also been trying to improve communications with members and now contact each new member to start that communication early. In the time I’ve been with the CNSC I’ve experienced some challenges and really seen and experienced the importance of having a union that is there for its members and the importance of getting involved. I became a new NUREG steward as of 2022 and am continuously learning the role and how I can have a good impact for members and our organization. Lastly, I wanted to mention that I am also currently on the bargaining team representing members in negotiation with the employer and striving for improvements for members. I genuinely enjoy working with financials, analyzing, and forecasting etc. That is why I am seeking your support to continue in the role as treasurer for a second term.
