We would like to announce that the Memorandum of Agreement has been approved and ratified by the membership.
During the ratification process, 296 out of 395 members casted a vote, for a participation rate of 75%. From this number, 238 (80%) members voted in favour of accepting the tentative agreement and 58 (20%) voted to reject the offer.
Changes to the collective agreement will not come into effect until the agreement is signed by the employer and the union. The details of these next steps, including when the employer will be processing the back pay for the contract will come from PIPSC.
