Barbara Sigurdson

My name is Barbara Sigurdson, I have been a Registered Nurse since 1989. I joined the Public Service and PIPSC in 2002 with DND as a Nurse Case Manager. I feel fortunate to have been given this opportunity and continue to see my role as a unique, diverse, and challenging one as a member of a dynamic team. I have served as a steward since 2012 and am committed to what PIPSC represents for my fellow members. I would be honoured to have the chance to serve at the Executive level in a member at large role . In my Nursing practice I strive to always do the right thing for the individuals I care for, the team I am a part of. I see this goal also as paramount in the duties of a PIPSC steward also . Supporting my colleagues in the workplace where issues arise that compromise the integrity of the right to work in a safe and respectful place is a deep commitment for me.If nothing else I cannot pass up the chance to put myself forward to serve the membership.
